9:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Serve Day

Please note: Volunteers should report to ASAC Heart of Iowa (4050 Bowling Street SW) at 9:00 AM. If you are dropping off kids birth – Kindergarten or 6th- 12th grade at Stonebridge, you can do this starting at 8:30 AM so you have time to get to Heart of Iowa.

  • Student volunteers report to the Youth Room.  Students will be doing highway clean-up and should wear appropriate shoes and clothing to be outside and walk through the ditches and roadsides.
During Serve Day, we go into our neighborhoods and do exactly what God calls us to do: serve others. We will be painting, decorating, minor repairs, cleaning and offering a Kids Club for the children at ASAC Heart of Iowa —turning love into practical, physical reality. It’s how the church shows the world what Jesus looks like
Your Help is Needed — Join us for Serve Day on Saturday, July 20th from 9:00 AM – Noon at ASAC Heart of Iowa. This facility is a treatment center for women with children who are going through substance abuse recovery. We want to bless these women by cleaning and updating their treatment facility and on-site residential apartments.

Use the blue REGISTER button above and let us know how you can help.   Let’s be the hands and feet of Jesus and bring joy into the lives of these families!

Who Can Serve?
All adults and teens are invited to serve by helping with facility renovation or with the Kids Club activities.

What About Kids?
As part of the Serve Day, Stonebridge will be hosting a “Kids Club” similar to BYBC during the 9:00 AM – Noon time on-site while parents serve. The club is for both the kids who live at Heart of Iowa while their mom is in treatment and for Stonebridge kids 1st – 5th grade whose parents are serving.

Childcare will be provided at Stonebridge for kids birth – kindergarten. Childcare will be available starting at 8:30 AM to allow time for you to drop off your child(ren) and get to Heart of Iowa by 9:00 AM.
